We Are Culture - 50 years Mitsubishi Electric HALLE. 50 years of culture for Düsseldorf.

Mitsubishi Electric HALLE is 50 years old in 2021. On 31 March 1971, the then PHILIPSHALLE opened with a gala evening. This was followed by half a century of culture, concerts, shows, TV productions, sports, corporate events, trade fairs and exhibitions. All international and national music and show greats have been on stage here. Pink Floyd, Ella Fitzgerald, Johnny Cash, Santana, Genesis, Udo Lindenberg, Queen, Bob Marley, Depeche Mode, Liza Minelli, Elton John, Lenny Kravitz, Udo Jürgens, Die Toten Hosen, Jan Delay, Till Brönner and many more. To celebrate this anniversary in a fitting manner, the campaign “We Are Culture - 50 years of Mitsubishi Electric HALLE. 50 years of culture for Düsseldorf.” has been launched.

Rheinbahn with highlights out of 50 years of MEH

Trains in the campaign design will be in use on the U70, U74, U75, U76, U77, U78 and U79 underground lines. They are particularly popular on lines U74, U77 and U79 because they are passing Mitsubishi Electric HALLE on these routes. Motifs from the “We Are Culture” campaign are also visible inside the trains. The Hall’s Wall of Fame, with more than 1,000 music and show highlights, invites you to marvel and reminisce during train rides.

“Rheinbahn congratulates Mitsubishi Electric Halle on 50 years of culture, music, sport and entertainment. I am delighted that larger events will soon be possible again and that we will once more be able to bring attendees to the hall with our buses and trains – perhaps even in the train that we jointly designed to match the hall’s 50th birthday!” said Klaus Klar, Chairman of the Executive Board and Labour Director of Rheinbahn.
